The Sunday before this last was our ward conference. The theme Becoming Engaged...in a good cause. Most lessons used the whole theme but one of our Bishopric members used just the first part. It was a good lesson and must have done some good (at least according to him).
I say this because I am now engaged. Hehe. It was already coming so he really had nothing to do with it but anywho.
Last weekend we went to the Heber Valley Camp for a ward overnighter. (I am in a singles ward) I am on the activities committee and worked really hard to make it a good camp. I hope it was as fun for everyone else as it was for me...engagement aside.
Anyway on Friday I kept feeling like I'd forgotten my ring (i didn't have one at this point but man the phantom was there) so at one point there were three people in the kitchen and a couple across the room and he (we'll call him EMP) got down on one knee and proposed. The funny thing is no one (and all of them could have seen if they were paying attention) noticed. They were all oblivious.
As soon as the Bishopric found out everyone knew. The group that came last found out before they were even told where to go.
I had a great time otherwise. I went snowshoeing, and sledding. It was wonderful.
My ring is very pretty, (this really is one of those last but not least things) and I will post pictures as soon as I have a computer to do it on. I am at the library and can't do it here.

V-day
He told me he stared at his car for a few seconds trying to decide if it really was his. I also made him some truffles in the shape of hearts. I made them at Christmas and he really liked them.
When he got off work he called me and came over...and brought me flowers. I LOVE getting flowers. Unfortunately I didn't realize there was no water in it so some of it was dead when I got home that night. My grandma did notice and saved most of them, yeah, for Grandma.
We didn't do anything special really. We hung out and talked until about 8 that night when a couple friends came over and we played games.
It was a really wonderful day even though it was low key.

Amazed
I am amazed at the different type of relationship this is.
As an example yesterday I made two cakes for a friends birthday and Ed helped. He put on an apron and everything. I was going to make it at my house but (at least it seemed this way) he helped just to spend time with me.
Also, I have sooooo much to say to him. I keep thinking how do I not run out of things to talk about? There isn't enough time in the day to satisfy my want to talk to him.
It is also nice to have someone think you're beautiful (even if you are over weight, which I have lost about 5 pounds from exercising).
We tease eachother and can talk about anything. He also talks to his parents (mom at least) about our relationship.
My last relationship was closed on any talking to eachother and for him at least anyone else.
I am also very happy. Suddenly I can see a point in marriage again. I can see how you could love and want to be with someone FOREVER. I can see how my cousins-that I thought were gross because they are gushy over their husbands-are that way.

Target
So last night I went with some girl friends to see 'He's just not that into you'. I really wasn't sure I wanted to see the movie but I didn't want to bail so I went anyway.
In the end I wish I hadn't gone. It's not that the movie had a lot of bad parts, it just happened to hit a little to close to home.
The movie is about a bunch of people trying to find love and how you know he (a romantic interest) isn't into you. There is a couple that is married and the guy ends up having an affair and keeps lying to his wife about that and smoking cigarettes. She keeps believing him. It takes a pack of cigarettes falling out of his pocket for her to realize the truth.
I let my ex lie to me (I think for years) until I finally had to face the truth.
Also they say that if a guy doesn't call you then he's not that into you. Well, the only problem I've had with current boyfriend is that he has NEVER called me or even texted. He doesn't even have my phone number in his phone.
I don't believe that he isn't into me. I know he cares even though he hasn't called. He does other things to let me know that.
Anyway it really was just a disturbing movie that upset me over nothing. The first things are in the past and I don't think about them to often and the others are stupid.

Dating
Well, it seems that asking a guy out on a date actually works. (Even though I really thought we were going as just friends)
The guy I asked to the Temple Open House and I are dating.
Yikes!
It is very weird to say I have a boyfriend. And yet it feels so right just doing regular things with him. We like many of the same movies, can play video games together (and I didn't totally suck when we did). He plays the piano (so we can play together), and the violin (though he can't play to often).
I can talk non-stop to him for hours on end.
It's amazing to realize exactly what I missed out on in my first marriage.
I sat next to Ed (that's his name) on Sunday at church and he bore his testimony. I loved hearing it and knowing he has a testimony of the Gospel.
