It's a Girl!

So we found out yesterday we are having a girl. Convenient since we have many people with girls that are giving us things.

We are so very excited!

On the issue with my lumps, I went to see the doctor a month ago and he was to busy to see us so I haven't been back. Mostly because I never have time to think about making an appointment.

We have our ward Christmas party tonight. We have to bring a salad. I am hoping that there is more than just salads at this thing. All they asked people to bring were salads.

Update

We are proud to say we are having a baby. We aren't far enough along yet to know the sex.

We are having some problems. I have a couple lumps in one of my breasts. One I have known about for a year and a half. My doctors have decided to remove them since they are big (almost 2 inches). We did a biopsy so the surgeon would feel comfortable waiting for my first trimester to be over. Thank goodness they came back as benign.

I have been called to the Primary at church. The class has one girl and 6 or 7 boys, I think they are about 9. There is another adult in the class. Thank goodness. Some of them are very rowdy.

Busy

Since we got back from the honeymoon I have not had any time to do anything. I went back to work last monday, i worked tuesday and thursday. On wednesday I had off...except i babysat my managers little girl so nothing got done.

We then went to California friday through monday (of this week) where i met EMPs Grandmother.

We got back and I worked all day yesterday and today. I also work straight until tuesday since my manager is gone for a week and a half for her vacation.

I went by the social security administration to change my name today but, they are only open from 9 to 4. I work from 8:30 to 4. so the earliest day i can do that is tuesday...that is if i don't end up working in another store that is desparate for help.

I have bags and gifts all over my living area, a lot of stuff at my gmas still, and stuff in storage (that i have to pay for) and no time to put things away and condense.

I am frustrated that i have no time to relax or see my husband (he works from 2-8).

5 days

We are really on the count down now. We have just a few days left.

I have gotten my records all straightened out and we are on our way.

We have just a few things left to do so we might (might) be able to rest a little this week.

We hope to see as many of you as possible on Saturday!

9 days

I was going to count everyday but...I am way to busy. This is my last week at work before I take two weeks off for my wedding. I definitely need the time. My mom arrived in town last week and we have been on the go since. Everyday off from work is a wedding work day. It is fun except I am so tired from not having a day to sit around and rest.

I went to get my reccomend on Sunday and found out the church records have me as still married! My mom got worried and called the church offices so now I have to have them take my ex off and change my name back to my maiden and then have the Bishop reissue my reccomend before I meet with the stake pres. (I know that was a run-on sentence)

26 days and counting

Today is the first of June I now get married in 26 days. YAHOO! I can't believe it is already so close. Although at times it seemed like it would never get here, it really is just around the corner.

I am nervous since I don't really have much time left to plan since I work long days. I don't have the reception planned except where and the table deco. I don't have a photographer for the wedding. Not sure how it will work out for the snack things at the reception.

I do however have my dress. My bridals will be saturday (my sister in law is doing them). I know basically how i'm doing my hair. The flowers are ordered.

I don't know how all the skirts are going. I don't know how my sister is doing on the cake. Has she tried it? I don't really know to much it is a good thing i have the week off before the wedding.

Sorry about my rambling. Hope it makes sense.

San Francisco (cont...)

We made a stop at China Town...

While there we stopped and ate. Jo and I had Chicken Noodle Soup.

The view...look at all the power lines.

We stopped at Ghiradelli Square and Lumbard
Street

Before seeing wicked we went to dinner. Our waiter came out with the potato things and said they were 'compliments of the chef'. They were potatoes with sour cream and caviar. I refused to eat it so my friend Jo ate it so it wouldn't be rude. For an appetizer they ordered Calimari, the calimari was whole and I also wouldn't eat it...

For dinner I had Chicken with a Molasses Glaze and Asparagus. It was really good! And for desert I had Cheesecake.

San Francisco

A couple of weeks ago I went to San Francisco with girls in my ward. It was a TON of fun.

We were supposed to leave at 8:50 (I think that was the time) but were delayed two hours.

We finally arrived at our hotel a few hours late. The guy who checked us in told us the halls looked like the Shining.

Our first day there we went to Trolley Square. The trolleys were very fun and they turn them manually. They drive them onto a round spot and then get on each side and push. It was really neat.

Public Toilet anyone?

Waiting in line to buy our trolley tickets.

My Ring

Engaged in a good cause

The Sunday before this last was our ward conference. The theme Becoming Engaged...in a good cause. Most lessons used the whole theme but one of our Bishopric members used just the first part. It was a good lesson and must have done some good (at least according to him).

I say this because I am now engaged. Hehe. It was already coming so he really had nothing to do with it but anywho.

Last weekend we went to the Heber Valley Camp for a ward overnighter. (I am in a singles ward) I am on the activities committee and worked really hard to make it a good camp. I hope it was as fun for everyone else as it was for me...engagement aside.

Anyway on Friday I kept feeling like I'd forgotten my ring (i didn't have one at this point but man the phantom was there) so at one point there were three people in the kitchen and a couple across the room and he (we'll call him EMP) got down on one knee and proposed. The funny thing is no one (and all of them could have seen if they were paying attention) noticed. They were all oblivious.

As soon as the Bishopric found out everyone knew. The group that came last found out before they were even told where to go.

I had a great time otherwise. I went snowshoeing, and sledding. It was wonderful.

My ring is very pretty, (this really is one of those last but not least things) and I will post pictures as soon as I have a computer to do it on. I am at the library and can't do it here.

V-day

I hope everyone had a good Vday. Mine was perfect.
My Beau had to work in the morning so I decided to surprise him by heart attacking his car. I made a bunch of hearts (mostly pink) and but movie quotes on some. He is very good at movie quotes and got all but one.

He told me he stared at his car for a few seconds trying to decide if it really was his. I also made him some truffles in the shape of hearts. I made them at Christmas and he really liked them.

When he got off work he called me and came over...and brought me flowers. I LOVE getting flowers. Unfortunately I didn't realize there was no water in it so some of it was dead when I got home that night. My grandma did notice and saved most of them, yeah, for Grandma.

We didn't do anything special really. We hung out and talked until about 8 that night when a couple friends came over and we played games.

It was a really wonderful day even though it was low key.
